    Wow - nice work.

    Trout anyone cook em?

Bigger ones that have been in cold water seem best. With any fish it’s important to not over cook them. If my wife wasn’t such a terrific cook, I’d watch a bunch of YouTube trout/fish cooking videos and try stuff like you say. If you can cut a decent grade with a hoe or dozer, you can...

    1984 V20 I/O

I have that configuration - the heat exchanger is the largish tube low on the port side of the engine. Mine cost me a bunch before I learned to drain it for the winter. It froze and had to be replaced. Fortunately they were (at least at the time) manufactured in the northwest and I got one for...

    Trout anyone cook em?

Fished a reservoir a couple of weeks ago that gets stocked pretty heavily and caught quite a few that had wintered over, 18 - 19+” and I think they smoked pretty nice. I agree that trout aren’t hardly ever good eating if you just cook them.

    1984 V20 I/O

Maybe do a little cosmetic spiffing up. I spent several years doing real estate and was constantly amazed at the difference the slightest cosmetic difference made in interest, time on the market and price. Some oil on the wood, the outdrive and engine a little fresher black and a moderate blast...

    Brand New-Never used-Free to a Good Home

Hey Pipe - I may have gotten rid of the cuddy cushions, but it’s possible I moved them to the over full storage above my shop. I’m grabbing spare minutes to clean it out - will let you know when I either find them or confirm that they’re gone.

    Brand New-Never used-Free to a Good Home

Well, this is embarrassing - looking where I kept them for years didn’t turn them up. They may have been a victim of one of our clearing out projects. There’s another place that I need to go through - it will take a while and I’m not real optimistic, but will let you know when it’s done.

    Brand New-Never used-Free to a Good Home

Pipe - I’ll look for mine and if I find them, will post measurements. If Sky’s work for you, the shipping will probably be less than from the left coast, but if you need mine I’ll get them packaged up.

I also have a Danforth anchor that came with the boat and have no use for it.

    Brand New-Never used-Free to a Good Home

This is mine when it had the top. Would love a stand up cover but no Bimini, so probably a non-starter. I'll look at my windshield bumpers to see their condition and freight charges for those would be more reasonable. Pipe - I have the V berth cushions that were in mine when I got it 20 years...

    Brand New-Never used-Free to a Good Home

It was a vinyl top covering the seating area, but most that I see are canvas. Like a convertible top on a car - kept the rain and sun off, until the sun degraded it. I’ll see if I can send a photo from my computer.

If Blue Runner can't give you a waiver to post, and it's OK with him, I'd be glad to post for you if you send me the text. You're clearly a legitimate contributor, but I'd need the OK from our admin if a waiver isn't possible.

    Brand New-Never used-Free to a Good Home

The top on my V20 is shot and sent to the landfill. I don't know if yours will fit, or what the shipping (to Oregon) would cost, but I'm interested if no less troublesome option pops up. This would probably be expensive and too big a pain for you to deal with, but if it worked out, I could...

I'm in the mood for sure - a little envious of you and your fishery:) My fishing buddy is back in shape from a long heart surgery recovery and we're pawing the ground to hit the water.

Yeah, you have to do at least most of you own work. If it’s not recreational, or you don’t have the time and facilities to do it, it doesn’t make sense, if there’s a lot to do. Mine’s been sitting for several years, with what started as a new kicker on it while I tried to catch up on lots of...

    Last fishing trip of 2025

Semi-related, to fishing, at least - I just passed 50 years in Oregon, so Fish & Wildlife categorizes me as a Pioneer and I get a big discount on hunting and fishing licenses. Will have to see how far that extends to tags and endorsements when I have time to buy licenses, but it’s nice to get...

    '73 steplift stringer height

Just a thought, not knowing your model, but if I were removing my deck and mine isn’t self bailing, I’d explore raising the stringers and deck to make it self bailing. I’d keep my primary and backup bilge pumps, but I’d like to be able to hose the fish blood and things overboard without them...
