hi guys,I remember seeing someone move floor scuppers to through rear wall.the The new scuppers have a flat edge,so as to lay close to the floor when mounted horizontally.Then the floor holes get glassed over.anybody else see this done?

hay guys, my 94 jonny 175 has a problem with the alarm going off.sometimes as soon as i turn the key on,hot or cold.steady tone! i ck. all the oil level & fuel. i'm thinking of a short in the control box,i bang on the box & wiggle the wires going into it as well as by the motor.still going...

My 1994 Johnson 175, won;t go over 2000 RPM,9 MPH. (what a long ride).I have no alarms going off,tried pumping the primer bulb while underway.no difference. I was racing the motor up at the throttle linkage on the motor while hooked up to the garden hose in the driveway,I did'nt rev it up too...

some guys say the under gunnel rod boxes go through the opening & mount inside the opening.are you kidding,i'd need to be a magican to get them inside,mine were mounted on the outside surface.I tried to put them inside & they dont fit in there.what gives?

how can i bend ss. tubing for a railing around the motor well,maybe mount a couple of rod holders to or a cutting board,any ideas?

does anyone know if an o-ring belongs on the top of the shaft.It looks like a groove the ring will fit in.its right under the splines,my johnson manual dosent show it,or the parts manual.but the omc waterpump kit shows it & includes one that fits.oh yeh,there wasent one on there when i took it...

changed my trim motor today,1 bolt broke & i had to drill & tap.then i changed the water pump.JONNY 175. & 1 bolt broke,theres about 3/16 of the bolt sticking out.i tried heat & visegrips no good.i'am trying so soak it in oil overnight.any suggestions? i hate drilling & tapping.

found a new way to cover the V,then just tarp it.

how do you cover your boat for the winter?& still have acess to work on it.

i am having trouble with steering hoses.when i turn the wheel sometimes they bend or kink where they are supposed to slide into the boat.theres enough hose & they dont hit anything.any way to stiffen them up by the motor so they stay stright?

how can i rev the engine without putting it in gear?omc control with johnson 175.only buttons on control are tilt & lockout.
