Went out Thurs, got boat up to speed, and I think something let go in the outdrive. Still goes into gear but vibrates so badly it's scary! I just had the gimble bearing replaced in March of 2015 and don't have many hrs on it since then. When engine is running in neutral, very noisy in outdrive...

My 43 year old V20 is ready for another year of fishing and fun.

Pulled the boat out of the barn for a shakedown cruise on the lake. Yes fish were caught. Boat is running beautifully. The money put into it last year was well worth it.

Took her down to the lake today for maiden voyage. She is like a new boat. The work/money was worth every penny. The only bad part is the the lake is down to Sept levels. I'm glad that the ocean levels are consistent. Next stop - Winchester Bay, Oregon!

Finally got to breathe life back into "O 4 Pete's Sake" today. After major transom repair, new(used) outer transom plate, gimbal bearing assy and a few bucks, got her running today and she sounds sweet! Next will be a test at the lake, and in time for crabbing season! YEA!

Finally pulled trailer wheels and hubs apart to replace brake shoes and general clean up. I need to bleed the brake lines. Any good ideas on how? I assume I will need to use vacuum to pull the fluid thru the lines. Thanks for the help.

I think I have found my leak. one of the anode head bolts on the transom mount has movement. I don't know if the anode is just a cap or part of the bolt. In any case I cannot get to the inside portion unless I pull the engine. For now I will encapsulate the outside with silicone sealer, and make...

Well it's been a while but I finally finished stern modification. Had to remove the platform on the left side, fill holes, paint, move fish finder transducer, and install mounting bracket for the new trolling motor. All in all, worked out very nice. You can seethe "Old" vs. the New in my album...

I want to buy a 9.9 4 stroke to use as a kicker on my V20. It is an I/O version. I see different shaft lengths available and don't know what I need. I would like to have the kicker attached to the I/O for steering. What measurements should I make to determine what shaft length is appropriate...
