When I trailer my boat, fuel comes out the vent when I brake. Happens sometimes while underway in choppy seas. I've been using vise grips to pinch it off while trailering, and remove them when I put the boat the in the water. That seems to help out alot. Short of buying a one way check...

Found this forum by accident, I'm so stoked it exists!!!! I have a '77 Step with a 2001 Johnson 115. I use it for spearfishing so it's pretty bare bones, no nonsense machine. I have a ton of questions about so bare with me. I'll post pics asap....
