Oops.. to finish previous post. Does this sound like a good dia. and pitch to get my rpm to 4200? and if so is there a brand/style that is preferred for best performance?

As mentioned in earlier post the prop that came on my V (I/O470) is a 14x21 WOT 3800rpm. Today I got a 14.5x17 alum. for free to try.

REEL.. my deck drains originally went to the bilge. Nothing wrong with that but just didn't like it. When I got it there was a single pump the size of a snuff can with hose running to a plastic thru hull that fell apart when touched- NO GOOD. Now have 1 1/8 SS. Tested scuppers today, even in...

Although I have i/o... REEL pretty much describes my bilge set up. Installed 1 1/2" thru hulls/scuppers & 2 rule 2000gph pumps in bilge on water witch switches and 3 pos. rockers at helm. At rest water line is just below the scuppers, keeping plugs handy if needed. By the way my V is a '78.

Any plans or thoughts on a get together this year? North South or in between. Would be great to meet some folks here and see some other V's Several of us local here in Central NC, Randleman, Bluerunner, myself and others.

Actually we took it to Tuckertown last Saturday to try out. But yes , will be on High Rock, Badin, Tillery as well. Hoping to go to Randleman lake Sunday weather permitting to ride around and check it out.:rain:

Thanks for the replies guys. Hope to give it another go this weekend if the weather permits. Been doing a little adjusting, tweaking and cleaning this week and anxious to see how it goes. Next goal is to get some fish on the decks!!!:beer:

After a year and a half of work and mucho denero I finally splashed the V today. Every thing ran smooth, only needed a small tweak on the shift interupter switch. The little 470 ran great!! Spare and Ferm are right I'm a little over propped at 21P. WOT =3800 rpm & 31 mph on gps w/4 adults and...

does the '89 have the two teak hatch covers and in floor storage boxs just ahead of the engine box ?
