Welcome and congrats on the V.:clap: Fish on Sports is the arch that I went with and happy with it. Debated for a long time but fold down mounts as standard equip. and free shipping won out. They also have lot of accessories you can add later if you like. My V is a 78 i/o.

'78 I/O here... like most I try to organize everything in the cuddy. Looks good at start of trip, end of trip not so much lolol. Really like the extra hatch on Phats boat, perfect place for forward batteries.

Not sure if they come in different diameters or not but the one I have is 151/4 I'm pretty sure. The 17p is 151/2.

CF..just curious as to which starter you have. Seems to be the worst PIA with my 470. So far 2 starters in 1 year. Yesterday new Arco started crapping out after 4 trips.. don't get it. Thinking about switching to Delco (now have Prestolite) Any opinions anyone? BTW I did get to try the 19p...

Scook, Sorry to hear about your troubles.. but a couple of things come to mind. What type of coil do you have..if new then it is probably internally resisted so do away with purple resistor wire as per pertronix instructions. My engine was starting and running great then suddenly would not fire...

Need to organize rods in the cuddy...like rod racks mounted to bottom of cuddy roof. Wandering what others are using that works good.

I'm with Bradford... only daily drivers get ethanol, everything else including boats and tractors get non.

cfelton ...you are correct about leaving the switch on with the pertronix 1, but the pertronix 2 is supposedly (smarter) and will shut down to protect itself also on low and high voltage.
