    Twin V4 Crossflow Project

More Pics... Just a couple more pics... Is there a way to attach video to a post, or does it have to reside on another site with just a link in the post here?

    AutoPilot anyone?

Reactor 40 I installed a reactor kit in this twin 150 catamaran. It was very nice. No, a power assist pump is not needed - autopilot pump connects to the hydraulic system after the helm pump. CCU axis rate sensor is included as part of the kit. The reactor does not need the dedicated...

    Twin V4 Crossflow Project

We are finally nearing completion on this gem and I figured I’d share. She looks sweet as a twin, that’s for sure.

2015 yamaha 115 hp for sale

I think a 115 would work well with a v20 - we get almost 30 kts from a 90. Both are underpowered for hull certification though. 115 would scream and ride the foil on a 16 footer - it would be an epic ride.

    1976 V20 Cuddy O/B; 1994 Evinrude V4 Crossflow

Yes, it is definitely a buyers market this time of year. Who knows - maybe we’ll end up keeping her when all is said and done. We don’t really want to sell, but also don’t want to end up with two horses in the stable and one getting neglected. I’d rather see her re-homed than parked on the...

    1976 V20 Cuddy O/B; 1994 Evinrude V4 Crossflow

Update Reason for selling: Family needs have moved us into a larger boat. Phoenix has no mechanical issues and is ready to be placed into immediate service. The ship’s log is available for review. We love this V20 and want Phoenix to be placed with a good home, so please pass the word...

    Generator

Pictures (p.1) These are the first pictures - the stripping of the plastic housings and extension of the control panel harness. Let me know if they can't be viewed - I will have to study further attaching pictures.

    Generator

A/C Type It's a portable heat pump a/c by haier that we did a bit of surgery on so it would aesthetically fit and still efficiently operate. 10,000 btu - 9.5 A @ 120 VAC (both heat and a/c modes) We converted the control panel and display connections to standard network cable connections to...

    Generator

My original post was out of curiosity more than anything. Until present day, when we needed (or wanted) a generator, we just brought a portable unit along. I'm just curious if any other folks (besides us) have installed permanent systems in their rigs.

    Generator

A/C for cuddy Not exactly - well, that wasn't THE REASON for equipping, but that is the only difference functionally. We'll occasionally take trips away from civilization and having our own power source just extends our available time. (Running comfort systems happens to be a great bonus.)...

    Generator

Yes - absolutely good practice. I was just curious if I was the only V out there with a built in gen set - seems I may be. Our initial placement and engineering was centered around efficient cooling and exhaust ducting (the most important concerns) - but we are addressing a ride issue that...

Ok all you V20 lovers - show me your generator setups. Putting the last pieces of our project together and not liking our gen set location at present. "Phoenix" 1976 V20 Cuddy O/B

    It's time to act!!

As long as the marina that you use has a source available, I'd expect them to keep selling e-free... the problem is the environmentalists are lobbying congress to get rid of all e-free fuel and increase ethanol content in current fuel stock. As far as your marina goes - it may simply be a case...

Control Cables No problem. I'm glad he found a solution.

    What length control cables

Control Cables Hey - I did forget to mention that different engine manufacturers will have different ball links attached to the cable ends, so make sure you get the proper length and that it is listed for use with your year and make of outboard. Most distributors (iboats, Jamestown, etc.) have...

    What length control cables

Cable length This is the general industry standard: Measure length along cable route from control lever to center line of outboard, add 4 ft for motorwell loop, round up to nearest whole foot for total length to order.
