I need to replace most of the hinged covers in my dually 20. I have one good rear transom cover, and one that is in rough shape. I also have a couple forward storage hatch covers (much larger) that need to either be strengthened or repaired... My questions is this. 1) Should I attempt to...

This one is threaded on the port side right now but I believe I can remove it and switch it to the other side...

Well in this case, I have to swap sides because the steering cable won't reach around and make the bend. I need the threads on the steering side of the boat to insert the cable and tighten it up. I'll take some pics today.

Thanks guys. Gonna remove the tube and reinsert from the correct side this weekend. Any idea what scenario would have it coming in from that side?
