    Best weather proof Glue?

I broke the handle on my favorite coffee cup three years ago and glued it back together with Gorilla glue. I would'nt even to begin to guess how many times it has been through the dish washer and is still holding just fine. I dont think the marine envirnoment can be much worse then a dish...

    Load rite trailer rollers

Make sure your 85 load rite will handle the wider bearing area before you buy the rollers, mine is an 84 and it would only take the narrow bearing area rollers. Here is a link to a post I did when I replaced my rollers. http://wellcraftv20.com/community/showthread.php?t=4764 My advise would be...

    Stupid boating mistakes

The only one that comes to mind is when I was going to take the wife out for some fishing and the motor wouldnt start at the house. :fight: Took it to my mechanic to fix it, he changed the plugs and gave me a pretty big bill since I could have done that myself. :bat: Still kicking myself we...

    New Man Cave

MJ it looks really nice but there are two things I would like to point out, 1) a straight trench uses less pipe and cable. 2) How come we only see others doing the work? Good luck on your project. Turbo

    Replaced Battery cables today

I can still remember the day we took the boat out for a sea trial before we bought it. While the guy was starting it and having a little trouble, he said "it just started doing that" and I figured I would find and fix the problem. Others who owned the old inline Merc's told me they were all that...

I haven't met anyone from that area I didn't like yet. Even you Air. Have you made your move closer to the golf course yet?

    Replaced Battery cables today

Well after owning this boat for three years and thinking it was just the nature of the beast how it seemed to be turning over slow, I found that it was the cables from the battery to the engine. More exactly the negative cable. Before trailering down to Wachapreague and putting over,I started...

    High voltage over 3500 rpms

I'm in the same boat as you, mine goes upto 16 volts which is higher then what I want. If it gets any worse I will probably go with adding a regulator from CDI. Turbo

A couple more question. Since I will be using Braid line should I use rollers or not. I have heard that the braid can get stuck between the roller and the frame, meaning an instant game over. Then what about wind on leaders, are thay a good idea? With rollers or not? How do you attach the...

    High voltage over 3500 rpms

Here is what I got from the TECH dept at CDI. It may not answer you direct question but maybe it will give you something else to check or think about. Turbo Durwood, Yes, you can install a 194-5279 regulator/rectifier to take the place of your rectifier. But, that may not solve the...

Thanks for the info guys. If you can think of anything else please post it as I will be checking back here often for a while. Air: I am planning on a trip to Matt's after I find out what it is that I want. I guess I could pick his brain also, he seems to know a lot and does not try to push one...

Ok, I feel good about the TLD 25, now about the rod. Graphite or fibreglass, and why? Is one stronger then the other? I cant afford the best of everything, but I do want the best of what I can afford.

    High voltage over 3500 rpms

I just dropped a line to CDI tech support to see what they have to say about a regulator for this type charging system. I'll let you know what they say. Probably " turn on some lights and install a second battery"

    High voltage over 3500 rpms

Maybe I can talk my wife into a 200watt stereo system for the boat by telling her it is to keep the batteries from over charging.:sun:

    High voltage over 3500 rpms

I experience the high voltage also but I dont lose any electroincs. Mine goes up to 16 volts when fully charged and there is no regulator. My question is, is it possible to install a regulator, or has anybody installed one on this type of charging system. If so what kind of results did you get.
