i was going to powder coat the tank but when i called RDS, he told me not to powder coat, but to apply cold tar. My G/F dad told me to do that when i got the tank, BEST TO LISTEN TO THE VOICE OF EXPERIENCE . :nice::nice:

Hello everyone I have a 97 Evinrude 225, going on a 86 v20 c/c, and I wish to use the factory systems monitor gage. Does anyone who has this system installed? Do you have it spliced into the regular instruments also? Thanks for the help.

Well I got the engine, paid $2800. And he deliver the engine I had to remove it from his boat. Owner was disabled. Now, since my boat is not ready, I get to replace the water pump, gear oil, super flush the manifold, replace plugs and get it ready for short term storage. :nice:

Thanks again for the info, will be checking outboard tomorrow seller had to reschedule for tomorrow. The seller is asking 2900 for it includes prop And controls . NADA list the motor between 2025- 2300 depending on model number.

i did remove the allen key, but it still wouldn't come out. today i try to spin it out and the plug snap off the wooden base. i guess its time for some gorilla glue to keep it together. thanks
