I have two vertical 3x8 bunks about 10' long on my trailer. I am probably going to redo all the bunks to a more supportive design. Only issue is i have straight crossmembers not v shaped.

I like Skools idea too. But my garage is lucky to support itself, much less a V20. I am kicking myself for not replacing my rotted 4x4 roof supports and poles with a 3-layered 2x12 beam. When I roll the V out to flip it upright again I might upgrade my roof supports.

Tether the stern to a solid anchor point. Pull the trailer out with your tow vehicle about two foot. Block the stern up and pull the trailer out about 3/4 of the way. Now jack it off the trailer and block it and pull your trailer on out.

I have been thinking about the same thing if my V20 rebuild goes ok. Either a flat bottom Carolina Skiff style boat or a kayak or both. For my boat build I was going to wing it and just get some measurements off aluminum boats and copy and papasize it.

I agree with Destroyer. But then again that might be the "Hawaiian" part of it. As I feared it is out of proportion. If a V20 had more gunnel height it would look good. As is it doesnot look bad.

When I was looking at outboards for my V20 I almost pulled the trigger on an OX66 250hp. The only reason I did not buy it was it had a 30" shaft. Your right they are good motors but a little thirsty.

Ok I just learned something new. What size kicker would be good for use offshore where I might encounter strong winds and current if I have to use it to come in due to a main engine failure? At what point is it overkill and am churning water for nothing?

What about the speed with other size kickers? Lets say a 9.9, 15, 20, & 25hp kicker. I would like to have a kicker on my V and am considering a 25.
