    Generator

We have a Honda EU2000 but I've only used it on the V 20 to charge the batteries when it's on the mooring. I have used the honda on larger boats for overnighting with the genset on the swim platform while it's running.

    Maria Watch

I'm also watching Maria. I pulled the Wellcraft on Monday. Forecast was for 50 mph gust out of the NE from Jose. I figured that the Wellcraft can sit on the trailer until Maria passes by. Once Maria is gone by I will debate on ending the season or tossing it back on the mooring for 4 more weeks...

    Irma

Glad to hear good news from some of our FL members. Hope Ferm and his family are ok. Doesn't he lives east of Clearwater/Tarpon Springs- Pinellas county?

    Is the PM working?

I've replied to a few PM's and never received a reply to my PM. Also the my sent message folded never shows any messages ever being sent. Anyone else having issues? Happy Labor Day weekend. Everyone have fun and be safe. PS Keep an eye on Irma. Ventusky.com shows it coming close to NJ/NY...

    What would make a V ..." better " ?

On another note. Have any of you taking a ride in a larger RIB? We have a 15' HIB rib that has a Hunt hull and it's amazing how much rough water the little 15' rib will cut through. I can only imagine what a 30 footer would handle like.

    What would make a V ..." better " ?

The 26' Surfhunter would pretty much address any issues. Now I would need to hit the lotto to buy one but it's nice to dream. http://huntyachts.com/coastal-series/harrier/harrier-26/

    Would you trade up?

One thing to think about about is the newer models will more then likely have a poly gas tank and older models will more then likely have aluminum tanks.

    Larger boat discussion

We owned a 2120 Sport cabin Parker. Built very well. Linwood and Robin Parker are excellent folks. However that 2120 SC gave a terrible ride! We were just looking at a 26' Blackwatch listed here in Westport MA for 22k.

    2017 new steplift

Marty Niemiec has a Surfhunter that he runs back in forth to Cuttyhunk Island. I have seen that boat make the trip to New Bedford from Cuttyhunk on days that we didn't want to move our 35 Bertram while on a mooring at Cuttyhunk. Of course we were on vacation with a full cooler and plenty to...

    2017 new steplift

I wonder how well it would be received with all the competition out there. From what I understand Wellcraft didn't want to pay Ray Hunt for continued use of the design. Seems the patent lease or whatever it's called ran out in 1996 and Ray Hunt wanted more $$$. Closest thing out there now is...

1977 ez load trailer was never the right size

Congrats on the new trailer! We towed our V to FL on a Venture trailer. Not sure of the trailer capacity but it is a tandem with both axles rated at 3k.

Who's right me r my wife

Nope it's a cuddy. I had the same anchor set up in my last V 20 cuddy and the new owner (a very close friend and previous V 20 owner) thought it was a great idea. In fact he is still using my bucket with the rode inside.

Who's right me r my wife

I'm might be no help with your question but I I always store my anchor and rode in/under the center hatch in between the captains seat and the back to back seat. I store the rode and chain in bucket or canvas bag with the anchor laying off to the side.
