UL - the above picture is a 'Stainless Marine' bracket on a V. A Sea Drive was built by OMC for a few years. It has the "bracket" built into the lower part of the motor SeaDrive:

EXACTLY!! Im with yall, V20 hull with a moddin in different liner. My buddy just listed a SWEET V20 CC that has been restored...fighting lady yellow...only problem is the time-bomb Ficht on the back. I'll post pics when I run up to look at it!

But there has to be documentation for a HIN on registration, or title. My older V also has missing HIN on transom, but its on the title. How would you register/title it with no HIN at all?

EXACTLY what I was saying Kracker. The rod holder "boxes" in either side arent correct either. My '79 has them, but the ends are angled, not a rectangle Hull is either V or from same mold, but the liner is not correct, which is why I have doubts. Can you do a HIN search like a VIN for a car?

Inner liner is no way from 70s...My '74 V has a totally different liner from my '79 and neither one is close. Console different also....

I agree hull ONLY looks EXACTLY like a V!

I saw this on ClassicMako site...are you sure its a V? The liner doesnt look right to me...early 70s liners were TOTALLY different and the deck where the rub rail is attactched at the bow doesnt look right either. Dont get me wrong, it looks lik an awesome project...just have V-doubts. Sure...

FINALLY!!! Its rained for 6 weekends in a row before this last one...and it doesnt count bc I was in DC at a wedding! I will be in the V on the following days: 1. Friday 2. Saturday 3. Sunday :fam:

even 2 gallons seems like a TON to me! If the boat did fill with water it could have seeped in around the sending unit? I would check all hoses and reseal sending unit...also replace O-ring on cap
