Thanks, I'll give it a shot but real estate for electronics on my 73' is lacking to say the least... 2 spots I can think of and one looks really awkward to me.

I had that thought this afternoon at work. I'm def mounting on my dash. I just hope my compass ball doesn't spin all day long, that might get annoying!

Garmin 441s vs compass??? So I hear Garmin GPS will interfere with a standard compass. The best spot to install my new GPS is within 10 or so inches from my compass... the install instructions call for a minimum of 26" from any compass to avoid interferance. This sounds rediculous to me...
