I wouldnt think paint over teak is gonna hold up all that well. Maybe wipe it down with acetone a couple good times then thin some poly resin or epoxy resin and hotcoat your item. Then lightly sand, prime then paint. Just my opinion. The hotcoat Will keep that oil from lifting that paint. I...

We are right on that line here in virginia beach. We are about as far north as the amberjack and king mackrel go. We are blessed no doubt. Wreck fishing here can give you some really nice mixed bag days.

Ran south out of ruddee inlet 25 miles and had a blast live baiting Amberjacks. Caught nice flounder up to 7 lbs and jumped over board and speared a 2 man limit of spade fish.

We use them mostly for bottom bait for deep dropping for tile fish. But they are edible in cooler northern waters. And good to eat.

Took a break off the troll and Caught some more stud seabass fishing a wreck in 200 ft of water.

Bluerunner these fish were caught in 70 foot of water 22 miles off the beach. To us these are what we call inside wrecks.

Got some nice seabass on our first seabass trip to the wrecks. Still brings back ole memorys fishing with my pops as a kid!
