The manual I have lists WOT at 4200 - 4600 for the 165, 170, and 3.7l and 4400 - 4800 for the 180, 180, and 3.7lx

I'll check the repair manual I have at home tonight, but I'm almost certain that the spec I read was 4400 rpm.

I have the 3.7l w alpha 1 out drive. I believe WOT for that engine should be about 4400 rpm. As for the fin, I found that the boat gets up on plane easier with the fin. I changed out drives last year and the new one did not have the fin. This year I'm putting the fin back on.

I'm aware of the possible leak from the water pump pressure testing the cooling system indicated a major leak because the system held no pressure at all and there was no sign of any external leak anywhere. I hope that the waterpump does not turn out to be the new weak link now that the manifold...

I guess this should be in the repair section, but I started it here so.... In the first shot, the riser is off Second shot, a close up of the corrosion, this is the bolt that pulled the threads out when removing. last shot, the manifold is off. You can see evidence of coolant in the #3 & #4...
