    Home Brew

Sorry if you were expecting a beer thread, but this is a different kind of "home brew." About 4 months ago my son asked to borrow my truck. I gave him the keys and asked "What are you doing?" He said "I'm going to get some wood, I'm gonna build a boat." Well here's the result. As for the name...

    V20 vs V21

I loved the the V20 I used to have. It was an I/O. With an outboard on my 21 the two biggest differences I see are deck space and the deck drains overboard rather than into the bilge. Both big pluses for the 21. So if you like the 20, I think you'll like the 21 even more.

    Kendall

Spare, thanks for sharing "And just at the moment when someone says, "There he is gone," there are other eyes watching him coming, and other voices ready to take up the glad shout. "Here he comes" And that is dying..." This is a wonderful sentiment. I hope that Aiden's family and friends can...

    Cuddy step up

Mast step I had mounted a folding mast step on the bulkhead just to the right of the cuddy door on the '89 I used to have. Found it to be very usefull. Thinking doing the same on the '95 I have now. Thought I had a picture, but can't find it :(

    Getting ready

Spareparts You could be right about that. Then again Ozzie could be riding around in a V21 wishing he had taken that chance when the opportunity was there. Either way, if my memory serves me, you were instrumental in hooking Ozzie, and eventually me, with this boat. Thanks for that and all the...

    Mineral Oil & 5200?

Thanks Spare Appreciate the diagnosis. Kinda what I was figuring. I tried a soft reset of the unit and that did not help. I would have thought that if the mineral oil was gone I would have gotten errattic and inaccurate readings instead of no reading at all. Oh well, one more thing one the to...

    Mineral Oil & 5200?

No leaks, mineral oil is still there Did a search to see if I could find info on your transducer install. HDS5 is not reading depth :( Reel, your install does not seem to be the problem. I loosened the clamp on the lid and looked inside, the mineral oil is all present and accounted for. Ant...

Memorial Day is coming up so I thought this would be a good time to wish everyone a great weekend and thank all of you who have served but in particular those, and the families of those, who have paid the ultimate price. I'm sure you will agree there is no way we can thank those who paid the...
