    23 proline

It's funny you ask. The ride is very similar to a V20. The bow has a good flair and it sheds water very good. Although in a beam sea it can be wet, just like a V20. If I hadn't done so much work to my boat I would keep this one for myself. My father bought it brand new back in '88. I cleaned it...

    Tices Shoal get together

I figure we'll be down there sometime between 12 and 1. I usually anchor up toward the north end in pretty close to land.

    my 7 yrs warranty

I would think that they will give you a computer. I don't deal with etec's but I know Merc and Yamaha take care of their customers. I replaced a f350 powerhead that had a freeze crack in the head due to poor drainage. The motor was 3 years out of warranty. Yamaha sent a new short block and heads...

I got this boat from my dad. It was kind of repayment for building his v20. I cleaned it up and now I'm gonna sell it. All it needs is electronics and a new owner. http://jerseyshore.craigslist.org/boa/4532903817.html

    Best Motor For Under 10K

Congrats on an excellent choice of motor. My 225 opti is about to turn 1200 hours. It is a 3 liter. Definitely run dfi oil. It's not that much more money than the other stuff. I think you will be very suprised with a motor that has that much balls and still is that good on gas. I know I still...

new member... recent 79 v20 cuddy purchase

I used a Moeller tank in my boat. 55 gallons and it fit right in place of the old one. http://www.wellcraftv20.com/community/showthread.php?t=13214&page=5

Why is 200 hp a bit much for Vs ?

I tested out a few different 21's. They didn't offer that much more performance for me to go out and buy one. Since I got the Rev 4 for free I'm gonna stick with that. I ran the boat on Friday in a little chop and got 56 mph with a full tank of fuel and trimmed all the way up. I'm pretty happy...

    Finally starting CC Restoration

I put my drains out the side. I used inline check valves that TH Marine makes. It works pretty good except about once a year I have to disassemble the check valves and clean out all the dog hair that gets in there and clogs it up. If you don't have a dog it will work pretty good.

rebuilding a V20 with my dad

Thanks guys. Vic, I used two coats on Interdeck by Interlux. Keith, We sea trialed the boat as you see it. It ran better than I expected. I used a Merc Enertia prop. I have my motor mounted one hole shy of all the way up. No problems with cavitation. The Rev 4 prop holds water like a champ.
