make sure you paint Marvel Mystery Oil on the new water pump impeller. that will soak into the rubber and keep it soft for years. will also reduce the rubber of getting memory. it will help to protect and save your impeller from a dry start. i do that to all water pump kits i install. torn one...

stink i've had best luck with the MSD cap and button or the blue marine cap and button with brass terminals. Wires best luck with Delphi or AC wires. plugs best for me have been either AC Platinum or Denso Iridium plugs.

does that motor use the distributor to run the oil pump? if so are you sure the distributor is seated all the way and into the oil pump.

i got the new timing set, new timing cover, oil pan, balancer, lower pully on and finished up last night. got the motor set in timing to zero on #1. next the intake will go on. then the new water pump and then the HP robbing accessories... :sly:
