Well according to Garmin, they no longer loan out update cards as people stopped sending them back. I guess the cards got more valuable than the deposit... I am going to try contacting the guy on THT who has helped people out with the update to see if he is still able.

Thanks for the replies/info guys. One of the cards I have is a map but the other doesn't say anything on it so it may be just a card. It says in the owners manual that you can get an update card from Garmin, I will have to ask them if it's still available...the last time an update was put out...

No, it's the Garmin data card, which I have 2 of, just no way to put the update on the card to get the update into the unit.

Does anyone have a Garmin Card Reader lying around? I need to do an update on the GPSMAP 3210 on my "new" boat but I don't have a reader or a cable...but there are 2 cards in the unit I figure will work for the update.

That's another variable, properly adjusted trim can make a huge difference in your speed and rpm.

Looking good. I don't know that you will find any gauges that would work with your old school 2 smoke and a modern motor...I guess it depends on if you are planning to go modern with your next motor.

Went last week and caught 15 on a local power plant lake, found a school of bait and fish in 40 feet of water and got most of them on Alabama rigs. No real big ones but catching 15 in the middle of December was awesome.

I was expecting you to be able to hit 6200 rpm and close to 40 mph. Could be something is going on with the cable itself or the adjustment. Or maybe your boat is that much heavier than mine or your motor is mounted lower than needed...there are many factors. I will PM you about the prop price.

That looks great. I know what you mean about 2 swivel seats behind the console of a small boat, my uncle's 19' Sea Boss has seats like that, fishing around them are like a wrestling match and like you said, you can't sit in them and operate the boat. As my son and I are the most frequent users...

If you mean one of the giant bluegill, those all come from Mitchell's pond (he is pictured dressed in all khaki with a giant still on the line ). No nuke's around, but several chicken houses.

That bluegills eyes were much larger than his stomach...or mouth.

You can count on me being confused on things. I always thought "marine grade" meant treated. My mistake. This plywood was rated BC and was the cheapest thing Lowes had...it is pretty nice looking stuff though, maybe they had it miss labled?
