    Bgreene's etec!!

Do you have a I command gauge ? If so it will tell you if you have a bad injector. Is it running on all 6 cylinders?

    Etec 200 HO engine height

Difference is we have different transoms, yours is going to be deeper in the water than mine to start with--mine got moved up to holes from where it was mounted--cavitation plate is now where it should be in the water. You trim enough up and you can make any engine cavatate.

    Bgreene's etec!!

actually--the fuel should not have caused the issue--the dealer is not allowed to open the injector--they send a whole new unit out and then install it and sync with the engine computer with a lap top. My injector issues were internal electricial connections, replaced under warranty, no issues...

    Etec 200 HO engine height

Mine was lined up with the bottom of the boat-- I raised it--look at picture. No issues with turning or ocean conditions creating cavitation. Mine was underwater too--no longer. sorry about the pictures

    Bgreene's etec!!

I used a engine picker to lift mine. yes lift the engine and you should be able to spin that 18 just fine. That looks almost as good as mine does on my boat---lol:party:

    Evinrude 200 HO on V21 - 1st report

sorry you did not reach my numbers--maybe the extra foot--lol I did raise my motor up a hole and trim it to the max--feels like it is floating--but otherwise sounds like you are a happy camper with it. How was the fuel burn for the distance. I will take pictures of rpm and gps next time out...

Top speed with " little etec 200 vs big 200 HO" ?

are you trimmed out to the max? I am when running the top speed I stated. also the height of the motor on the transom--I raised it one hole from where they mounted it and have a 5 degree shim in there as well.

Lookin' at a etec 200 HO tomorrow....

I understand the prop swap as I can get that, but I do not know of anyone that has several rebel props to try, even the dealers do not stock many, they seem to order as needed. The dealership chose the prop and I talked with the Evinrude rep and he said that I was fine at the rpm I am at, but...

Lookin' at a etec 200 HO tomorrow....

No--I am maxing at about 5200. recommended max rpm is 4500 to 5800. so I am just above the middle-- a 18 would be sweet--I am thinking the 17 might give to much rpm and at $656 a pop, not in a hurry to be buying several props to play with. What are you thinking?

Lookin' at a etec 200 HO tomorrow....

I am interested to hear what your numbers are--there is always room for improvement---and if proven better--I may have to invest in a new blade. Is the 17 a rebel as well?

Lookin' at a etec 200 HO tomorrow....

you do not have to run to top end of the rpm range. I would like to have a rebel 15.25 x 18 instead of my 19--it would be perfect IMHO. Iam happy with my 19, but the 18 would put me just right. I even ordered up the flag sticker and put it on--looks awesome--will post picture later when on...

New E-tec 200 HO for my Aquasport

I have the 200ho on my v-20 and love it--rarely do I need all that she has to give--even when loaded for tuna. That I-command gauge is the hit, buy the chip for it and you do not need any other gauge on the boat--the info is mind boggling for us outboard guys--info we should have had for years...

    Finally got the Tabs on

Do not mistake that for a 4 stroke--that is a 2 stroke, and love it. besides that is a nice yammie--those are where the Yamaha reputation came from.

    Finally got the Tabs on

Glad to see you got them on--You will love them and wonder why you did not do them sooner (Damn the holes). I have the Lenco's as well--I just drilled thru the hole at the top mount for the wires and then 5200 the mount--that way no wires hanging out even. Did you hook up the auto retract...

    Engine wont start

Well it would not be a fuse for the starter if it is cranking over. As Aussie said--check for spark, then check for burnable fuel. After you check thoselet us know what you come up with and we will see what else we can help ya with.

    4 stroke outboards

Corrosion issues are just some of the issues---try to get parts---LOL Everybody loves a new engine---get 5 or 6 years on one and see what ya think. I was told suzuki's are good in fresh--but Salt is a NO-NO.
