Roughest conditions you faced in the V ?

Just how it is off the nw coast--once and awhile we get like a 1' swell @ 14 secs and no chop--those days are cherished dearly. Swells--more about timing and direction than size. picture below is a cherished day--right on the beach.

Pictures of your dual battery set up ?

I have duals in the back--one on each side--pain to get to, but are not all batteries. I have thought of moving them up front as well(I would run a 2/0 battery cable from there to the motor-only about$105 for 25') but I would lose some iceing and storage for my tuna runs, and the pounding they...

Roughest conditions you faced in the V ?

First trip offshore-got caught offshore and ran as soon as it started picking up--but in 30 minutes it can really build fast..button down the hatchs and hang on...40 knot winds--a sharp 5 to 6' and when I hit the"hole in the wall" to get between the shore and tatoosh island--with the swell, wind...

I have the 200ho (3.3 litre) and really enjoy the economy and performance.. Comparing to my friends with comparable 4 strokes, I out run and out gun them with just slightly better economy. Trailer questions

The trailer looks like it is for a 17 or 18' boat maybe. You will find out when you get going about 60mph. The pictures are in modifications section I believe. My computer with the pictures is in getting fixed.

    Fishing northwest style

these tuna run the circle of the pacific ocean--last year the tuna were tested for radiation from the Japanese nuc plant melt down--clean--so no problem out here. If you are fishing bottom fish-- I would not eat them out of seattle or tacomas harbors--but salmon are fine as they are just doing...

    Evinrude 200 HO on V21 - 1st report

I will have to strip the boat to see that now--50 yes--can hit that speed since I put in 2 thru hull water pickups, 1 washdown and 1 for bait tank and the radar arch and stand up top--all hurt me--but that is plenty fast for a fishing boat! I could only hit 47.2 coming in from tuna--of...

    Trailering in OD

As stated--depends on your tow rig. I towed boats over 40000 miles in a year with my Tahoe, boats from 20 to 27', and always left in overdrive. The computer will tell the tranny what gear it needs to be in. PS-That is the factory trans in the Tahoe with 188,000 miles, serviced every 30,000...
