Anyone know the transom angle on a V20

Thanks so much, Skunboat! I was considering looking for a used bracket, but unless I'm misunderstanding something, based on what you just told me, that won't work. I'd need to order or make a custom = bracket for the V20... and given the cost of ordering a custom bracket, It's not gonna happen.

    Upgrades to the V

Used router on Ipe for bow pulpit... also got cutting board to use vs star board... So, I know it's almost a year later... but I thought i'd try to revive this thread. I bought a set of inexpensive router bits, and used them on some Brazilian hard wood called IPE to make my own bow pulpit...

What would be your second choice?

23' SeaCraft center console... Contender or Regulator (don't know what size... but I *like* 'em!) Hydra sports 202 DC Vector series... I saw one for sale that absolutely *loved*... but the owner wanted $40K, which was way too rich for me. Nice boat. Good layout (I like open bow... dual...

Anyone know the transom angle on a V20

I have a 1984 V20 with the cuddy cabin and an outboard. When I get to my boat, I'll try to measure the transom angle, but I was wondering if anyone knows. I'm considering a used armstrong bracket for my outboard... but that's assuming that the angle is correct or at least close to the transom...

    Bow mounted trolling motor

Very nice setup. Any feedback now that you've had it for more than a year? I've been goin' all out working on my V20, but haven't pulled the trigger on spot lock (at least not yet!)

    Original V20 Pedestal Seat

@Duke, Do you still have the captain's seat? My back-to-back seats are shot, and I'm thinking and original captain's seat might be just what I need.

    Anchor bow roller install

@ahokrags, I really like the anchor roller. I think it was well worth the money. I've set up the roller and bow pulpit made out of Ipe wood, replaced the single bow light with a separate port and starboard ones, and removed the cleat for the anchor. I haven't put a new cleat on yet, or...

    Anchor bow roller install

@skunkboat , would you mind sharing where you put the the deck pipe? I boat alone a lot, or with in experienced help, so I like the idea of being able to deploy and retrieve from the cockpit, or at least standing in the cuddy... it's easier... I'm still at (or closer to) the helm, and it's...

    Trailer flush system

That's a really cool system... I'm also inspired by the bunks on our trailer.... I have an older ez-loader trailer with rollers that keep breaking off. I recently bought some raw timber (6 year, indoor dried white oak... 2" thick -- actual thickness by about 14" high) and I'm planning to...

    Anchor bow roller install

My Rocna anchor is similar to the anchor you are considering. I think it is a solid choice, and while it may be overkill, I've anchored in some very strong rips (to fish) where the current was probably going 10 knots or so... no exageration.... so I'd rather have too much holding power than risk...

    Anchor bow roller install

General update on my progress... I love the tilting anchor roller I bought. I got some SS hardware, drilled holes and mounted it and... My anchor is big enough that it could hit the fiberglass. A friend gave me several pieces of scrap epe wood (brazilian hard wood), so that I can make a bow...

    Upgrades to the V

I just saw your reply, @scook. Thank you for the info and advice. I'll check my router, and also look for the bit you mentioned on sale... I didn't know what bits would be useful, which is why I purchased a set with about a dozen bits. @O.P. I really do like your work. Post up more pics...

    Affordable tow vehicle......

That makes sense. I thought I'd liven up this thread, with a truly affordable tow vehicle that I used to own. :you: Yep... I was *that guy* at the dock, and a source of entertainment for all. That's a DC Duck pulling me out... nothing beats an amphibious, 6 wheel drive WW2 military...
