    painting bottom

I can't believe the prices people pay for boat paint. Every boat I've ever painted inside or out has been done with paint from Marine Industrial Supply here locally. I'm sure yall could find something similar where you are at as they sell a lotof paint for offshore rigs, ship yards, tugs...

    The Hunting thread!

Well done on the Woodies, people that dont hunt them or see them fly have no idea what an accomplishment a bag like that is. They are FAST, squirrely and hard to hit. There is a pile of them that fly over me every morning in a stand on our gas line and I need to have a shoot one day. We have a...

Ferm and other vortec guys I need help!

Well, I got her fire up last night. Ran it with valve covers off and got the valves dialed in. Lifters pumped up good and had good pressure. The only thing I can attribute it to at this point is the HEAVY carbon buildup on the valve stems that must have caused those couple to stick and crush...

Ferm and other vortec guys I need help!

Well I have my compression back after grinding the valves and putting the head back on. I pulled the other head to be sure since the carbon buildup was so bad on the valve stems. Reworked it and just reinstalled. Calling it a night. Hope to get the intake and everything else back on tomorrow...

Two bad lifters...on different cylinders. I'm wondering if dirty oil or additives has caused the other failure. I'm bout to pull the head and all the other lifters and check them

Ferm and other vortec guys I need help!

Had to take a break to gain my sanity. Working on getting down to the intake and getting it off. Dad walked over and checked the push rod and confirmed the lifter has definatly come apart or is trashed. He'sbuild aa lotof small blocks in his day so I'm working on getting down to it now. I HATE...

Ferm and other vortec guys I need help!

I don't think the lifter cause it either that's what I was trying to say about a possible burnt valve. I was thinking a burnt exhaust valve that stuck closed may have cause the lifter to collapse. You think that could be the root cause....a burnt valve? It would also explain the lost...
