Thanks for all the replies and advice. I have realized it's all about the wattage - ie the x-ducer. I made a bad assumption that the 160c replaced the 160 blue because it has the same designator. The 160c is 150 watts (RMS) and 1200w peak to peak - where as the 160 (blue) is 400w and 3200w...

Hey MJ, It doesn't appear that the 160 can be bought new except on EBAY. How much did those units cost new when they were in production? There are two on EBAY right now 1. Used for $76 and NIB for $98. I can get the 160c for $179 and no S&H. Thanks Carl
