I've never know how to make a "pocket" in a flounder, sounds like a great way to cook it. On the crab I boil my big claws for a little appetizer then shell the body and fry.

I use Daiwa SL30SH "slosh 30's" on 7' Sea Striker rods. I really like the 7' rod for getting a fish out and around the outboard. I also keep a Penn 5500SS with a 7' rod in the t-top....you never know when you are going to see something to cast at.

I've got the 5.3 and up until yesterday my gauge did like yours, up and down when driving and zero when off. I guess I'll take it in on Monday, find out what the problem is.

Doesn't go to zero when I turn it off, but the backfeed doesn't seem to effect it. It will go to zero when I turn the key on but don't start it, when I turn it off it jumps right back up.
