Rot at the bottom of Cabin bulkhead? That should be one of the drier spots on that boat. I'm betting if its rotted there, than it has some other issues starting in either the stringers or floor. $7000 on a good day, $6000 is a deal and $6500 is fair.

I've had (2) Manatees and they are by far some of the heaviest built small boats I have owned or been on. They are also a good riding boat.

Stink, A friend of mine had one growing up. He ran a 1974 Evinrude 15 hp on it and it was faster than my 12' Sea Nymph with a 9.9 by a large margin. I have a 14' Gamefisher that was produced by MFG under the Adventurer name. MFG made some cool little boats back in the day, good luck with it.

Reel, the new V is coming along great. I always look forward to your project posts. They always show alot of ingenuity. MJ, What brand is that seat? I would love to have one of those on my Aquasport. I almost always stand when I drive and hate having the seat hit me in the back of the legs.

I pushed one off a sandbar this past summer, the boat was built like a tank. Even after we got it floating it was hard to handle due to the weight. They have a pretty good hull design I think real similar to the bertrams. With the weight and deadrise I'm betting the ride is pretty good.
