Reel, 79' has the same bow rail as the other years. Your thinking of the 78', that year had the down turned rail.

Don't get any teak oil or stain on the fiberglass, it stains almost immediatelty and is a pain to get out.

I originally was going to say $6500 and I don't think you will be out of line doing so. However, if you want a quick sale the key is to price it where its going to sell. I recently sold my 79' V-20 with a 2000 Johnson 150 and a real nice dual axle roller trailer. It had a similar description...

$5500, value is in the motor and trailer. Figure $4000 for the motor, $1000 for the trailer and $500 for the boat. Not saying you couldnt get more but I think this is realistic.

Look in the "History" section here on the site. The 78' catalog says max hp 240. The 79' catalog says 230 for i/o and 200 for Outboards. Looks like it went to 235 for Outboards around 1985.

Well, here she is. Shes not quite ready but I folded back the shrinkwrap to do some work and snapped a few pics. I ordered a Garmin 441S to flush mount and have a few odds and ends to finish before the season begins. Oh and I had the seat re-upolestered thats why the stainless frame is empty.

I have a complete sliding hatch cover for a 79' V-20. I'm not sure what other years it will fit. It is the 2 piece cover that slides over the cuddy. If someone is interested I'll take pictures and we can work something out. Mulv80@aol.com
