So the lower exhaust bellow on on my 1984 Alpha 1 outdrive is dryrotted and split. the guy at the repair shop said it was not a nessecary part, and did not matter if I replaced it or not. What do you think? I think all kinds of crap is going to get in there if i leave it go, like crabs...

well the former owner (idiot >:() of my boat mounted a spot light on the front top of the bow rail. well needless to say it looked like s#%t, so i removed it. now i have a hole in the top of the bow rail where he ran the wiring for it. how the hell do i (if possible) patch the bow rail ???
