That goes on the inside and bolts go thru it. The hole on top is for a 2foot bolt that runs down from the bow pulpit to stabilize it. Without it, the bow pulpit is pretty loose and I could see it snapping with too much weight on it.

When you put the teak back on the boat, did you use any marine sealant on the screws, etc? Did you screw back into the same holes, or new ones for better grip?

I have just got done wet sanding my hull and have noticed a lot of little knicks and chips. Spider cracks are probably the most annoying... how can those be fixed? I want to get some professionals opinions from the board here. Any ideas?
