    Macojoe/MJ loved you all

Yes he will surely be missed. Never met him personally but knew by his post that he was a great dad and friend. Still wearing my V20 hats, shirts and hoodies he got me. Proud to be one of the guys that knew him and proud to be part of this great group of V20 owners.

    Is it me?

I know how you feel. I usually get up at 4:00 when working days. Ride 45 minutes to work and go over the Chowan river and always look out wishing I was out there. Use to enjoy being out in the cold, not as much anymore. This year we bought 3 1/2 acres of land around our house to go with the 1/2...

    Boat trailering

I launch and load mine by myself, never had a problem. I never drive on, just pull it up 2 ft from winch and crank it the rest of the way. Loads really easy. I added Kodiak Stainless steel disc brakes on the front axle, boat stops the truck. I bought a heavy duty trailer years ago and configured...

Average age of V boat owners

Just turned 65 August 1st. Had my 77 V-20 cuddy since 2006. I'm the third owner that I know of. Bought it from a guy in Virginia Beach, Virginia for 1000.00. Rebuilt the transom, 4 cyl 170hp Mercruiser, gimble and now have new outdrive. Rebuilt a tandem axle trailer with bunks and cradle and...

    Chiggers!

I swamped logged for 20 years. Use to dribble diesel fuel on my boots when filling my tractor. They can't stand that. When I did get some, I got a bar of Octagon soap and scrubbed hard, took care of them fast.

    Boat wax?

I have a craftsman rotory buffer that I use, works great. Just go slow and keep it wet and moving around as not to burn the gelcoat. Not hard but usually takes a whole day to get it done. Wax good when you finish to protect it longterm.

    Boat wax?

If you got a buffer, it's easy. Just takes a while. Just wash your boat first and dive right into it. Wish I had time to help you.

    Boat wax?

I always use 3M fiberglass restorer and wax . Keep a spray water bottle handy, keep it wet. I use a 6'' buffer and wool pad, dont put pressure on it and watch your corners. It can burn the fiberglass. It removes the oxidation and leaves a nice shine. You'll feel it get easy when the oxidation is...

    Soon

Yep, warming up here in eastern NC. Warmed up to 75 degrees today. Nice! Working nights through the first week of April, having a shutdown at Nucor Steel. Hope to get out soon. Just bought 3.5 acres of land around my house. Been trying to get this property for 35 years. Hope to start on my dream...

    Happy Thanksgiving

    I remember when

Yep, I still wear my hats, tee shirts and sweatshirts. Wish I could get some more hats and shirts. I'm very proud to wear my stuff and occasionally get someone to ask me about them. So very glad to have this site and be part of such a fine group of proud V20 owners. I check in almost every day...

    Who owns a V20 still?

Still have my 1977 V20,170 I/O, since 06. Replaced the lower unit with a SEI replacement and new batteries. Gave it a good cleaning in the spring. Still looks great. Been busy this summer, rebuilt the kitchen in our 106 year old house. Ripped it out to the ground and built it back. Finishing it...

    Boat ramp videos

Yep! Love to watch these videos. You're right, some people just don't have a clue how to dock a boat in the wind. Funny!
