Wow, $200 more for a 4 year newer boat and an 08 150. The motor was more than the current asking price for everything. I sold my 86 with an 01 150 Merc and got $7800. If I was looking in your area, I'd have to visit that one.
I feel sorry for ya'll. We're getting into the 20's tonight, but it'll probably be in the 60's in the afternoon. You shouldn't be shoveling snow, but dewinterizing boats. Hang in there, spring's coming soon.
I owned a 94 232 which I bought used in 96 and I'd put it up against many many boats in that size range. Please don't include them in the Bayliner catagory. These were not entry level boats and I surely didn't buy mine soley on price. They are used extensively by alot of guides on the great...
I've looked at alot of the 18's and I think if I had to repower one, I'd consider a 130-140 hp 2 stroke. Most 150's would be a V6 and much heavier than a 4 cylinder in the 130-140 range. When propped correctly, I think performance wouldn't suffer that much and fuel economy would be much...
Scott, there are a bunch of guys on here that replaced them. I know Hammer did his. I did mine and I think I got my parts from Boatfix.com. I know I bought my thru hulls from them and I bought Stainless. I think Hammer installed an inline check valve in each line to prevent any incoming...
Great site. I lived in Melbourne from 90 to 07. It was a great boat ride to the inlet. I lost enough plugs, lures and jigs in that inlet to build a Buick.
Is it a 20" or 25" transom? I've had two V20s I used for years, both 25" transom. If a jackplate (especially if it wasn't hydraulic) wasn't really needed, I would invest in a set of trim tabs. Again, just my $.02.
