    Who's running a 200hp outboard?

Congrats, Franco. I've been starting to talk myself down to a 150, but now I'm leaning back to the 200... :)

    Spring Fling, Whos Going???

D'oh! >:( June 2nd is my niece's wedding weekend. I'll be down in Skool's neighborhood. Oh we'll, if you guys still need shirts and/or design-work, lemme' know. I can ship them down to someone local that's definitely going.

    New England guys, question?

I'm eyeing up a motor on eBay and the seller is in New Britain, CT and the seller ID is middlesexlanding. I googled around and found a Middlesex Marine Sales & Repair in nearby Portland, so I'm guessing that's it. Anyone ever do business with or hear anything good or bad?

Anyone want to split these w/ me?

Good to know, K, thanks! Several of his postings have caught my eye in the past year or so.

Anyone want to split these w/ me?

The ad doesn't mention it, but I took it from the cowlings that they're Ficht DI's, not carbed. ??? ...and I'm already watching that one in VA. Emailed the seller and got on the pre-approved bidders list. It's getting a lot of attention (bids) early, so I don't think it'll be a 'steal.' Also...

Anyone want to split these w/ me?

:) http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/twin-1999-Evinrude-225hp-outboards_W0QQitemZ4602355842QQcategoryZ111126QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem It's a shame I wasn't so po'. Before the first bid, the BuyItNow was only $7500. That seemed like a steal, especially with all controls, tanks, props...

Beautiful Boat for sale w/ Super Model

The boat's ok, but I'm not big on tumblehome. On the other hand, I'd like to tumble home to her every night. ;D

    Who's running a 200hp outboard?

BS, The way it cut out sounds like it could be fuel delivery, but that seems like the only symptom consistent with that. First day I had it out, I ran it WOT with no problems for longer than I did the day it died. Primer bulb stays full/not collapsed. It might not be a costly fix, but at this...

    Who's running a 200hp outboard?

Thanks, MJ phes' The Johnny's been acting up lately. The last time out, I was running nicely all day. Then halfway through making a little two mile run, there was a gradual decline in rpm's before dying. Tried for a maybe 45 mins. to get it going, and while on the phone w/ TowBoat, it magically...

    Who's running a 200hp outboard?

Thanks, guys. I figured since it's a V-6 already on there, that there wouldn't be much difference. I won't know until spring/summer what my budget is, but I'm figuring a new e-tec or 4-stroke won't be do-able. There are some deals on used 140 and 150hp strokers that might be within range, but...

    Who's running a 200hp outboard?

I have to repower from a 175hp and due to availability, it looks like I end up going 150hp or 200hp. There have already been threads on 150hp performance, so I was seeing if anyone had a 200hp? How does it affect how the boat sits in the water? Any safety/strength concerns with the transom...

    Talk about fuel economy!

Hey, I was out there, too! 8) Were you fishing the CBBT? We hit a few scattered keepers a mile oceanside from the high rise, and then chased birds for the rest of the day around the 3rd and 4th islands. They were all smalls, though. Had fun on light tackle...prolly caught 40 fish or so. We...

    Favorite Hulls

V20 is up there. The only other ones I can think of is the Formula F233 which later was born again as the Albemarle 24. As for the general layout, I love center consoles with a small cuddy in the bow. I prefer to run and fish in an open boat but the cuddy is just so useful for storage. Mako used...

    Fuel/water separator

Turned out to be user-error. I just didn't pump enough, even though it seemed like plenty. On top of the average amount of fuel line, I have more than usual because my fuel flow meter requires a vertical section, so I have a loop that adds to the length. Pumps fine through the separator now...

    Fuel/water separator

Primer bulb isn't new, but it was fine when I took off the old element. Old O ring is on the old filter, which I'm keeping as a backup. I was trying to avoid disconnecting at the motor, but I guess I have to. It just means I have to get the hair dryer out to warm up the hose to get it back on...

    Fuel/water separator

This boat is the first I've had with a fuel/water separating filter. I changed the filter and now can't get a prime going. I filled the filter with gas and everything's tight, but still no prime. Everything was working fine before I changed the filter. The filter is higher than the gas tank, so...
