    another definition of "BIG ONES"

I have a really hard time believing this video. That is one helluva angle to hit that tiny pool at that speed. I think it's fake.

    Antennas...

Either is nice, but I'd look at a VHF spliter, which allows you plug your fm radio antenna into the line for the vhf as well without interfering with either. I think you can find them at West Marine, and any boat store.

    2009 the sh*ttiest year ever

The name doesn't ring a bell. Does he keep a boat at any marinas up here?

If sharks, jellyfish and stingrays aren't enough to keep you out of the surf...

Surf City in Topsail Island had a gator swimming in the surf a couple weeks ago too. Very rare indeed. I've seen them on the river side of Carolina Beach, but never on the ocean side.

    Fuel Gauge is dead

Yeah, I hope it's the easy one. I haven't had time to pull it yet, hopefully this week I'll get some "free time".

    One of my other passions. . . . . .

I gotta guy here that goes to NC State but works summers here at the marina that just got one of those. He loves it, and it took him a little while to learn the braking technique.

    2009 the sh*ttiest year ever

Well, I've told everyone on here about the wife being out of work and the ordeal with trying to sell our house. Now I've just discovered that I may be the victim of identity theft as well. This is by far the absolute sh*ttiest year in my life to date. Wish me luck on the near impossible job of...

    Fuel Gauge is dead

Anyone ever replace the sending unit in a cc? My gauge doesn't work anymore and I believe the sending unit is bad. I've spoken to a mechanic and he said it isn't that hard to change out as long as the console isn't over the tank. Fortunatley, I've got an access right above the tank where I...

    anchoring the V

Got a cleat right dead center that I use as my bow cleat too. The "clam shell thing" you speak of is called a chain plate. On mine I use a closed line chock that has a screw in pin that closes off the chock. This serves two purposes: 1. the pin is just small enough to fit through the chain, so...

    anchoring the V

Bow pulpit is definitely the way to go. Keeps you straight into the current. Makes it super easy to retrieve the anchor too. Make sure yo have at least 6 feet of chain on your anchor as well. I keep about 8 feet on mine and in a 3-5 knot current it grabs EVERY TIME. Here's mine...

    Loosing power under way

Check filter first, if that's clear it's almost certainly the fuel pump. Does run out okay to a certain RPM or does it cut out across the RPM range? If it's only at the upper RPM's it's definitely the fuel pump.

Might have a not so bright future....

I'm very familiar with the "Redneck Riviera" although I never go down there on or around any holidays. Usually because I'm working, but besides that, I'm not that brave...or dumb.:)

Might have a not so bright future....

Thanks Willy, it's our primary home. we just can't afford it anymore with one income. We're moving into my parents garage apartment a little further down the waterway, so it's not a complete dissapointment. I really don't want to deplete our savings, but we'll figure something out. Well, if you...

    North Carolina Boys

Hey Willy, I'm trying to sell my house now. 215,000 sound good to you? Here's a link to a thread I just posted. I've got a map on there too. If you'd like some pics, just let me know. http://wellcraftv20.com/community/showthread.php?t=12349

Might have a not so bright future....

Well, we all know how crappy things are everywhere with the economy being in the crapper. With that in mind, I MIGHT have to sell the "Southern 'Crews'ers" in about a month. My wife is outta work... again, and I just can't bring myself to make mortgage payments from the savings account, so the...

    Unable to turn motor

I wouldn't use a torch, rather a heat gun would be better. I went through the same thing this past winter. Heat the tube to get the grease inside more fluid and them you will start seeing grease come out of the bottom probably. You may see it come out of the top (probably not) Bottom more...
