    V21 Ready for Launch

Thanks guys! I'm definitely happy with the new dash. I was inspired by my favorite V on this site, Emmett Fitzpatrick's 1975 V20. Here's his album, which he still updates... (http://www.wellcraftv20.com/gallery/album06/Spring_2012_a). My V has never seen fresh water! I fish/cruise with my wife...

I finally got the V21 ready for launch. Here are some pics of the boat in the driveway. I'm looking forward to spending Father's Day on the boat at the Jersey Shore.

    Cuddy step up

You are right. There was a guy that had a removable wooden step ladder. He posted some pics and it looked really nice. He even explained how he made it. It clipped into the top and was at a slight angle. Made of teak, I think.

I'm making a lot of progress! So far I have made cut the mahogany and applied 10 coats of spar varnish. I'm about to add the labels. My goal is to install next week. Here's a pic from last weekend.

What to cover the rod holder holes ?

I am all for saving money, but you've got a beautiful boat. Spend the money to get the nice rubber gaskets. I've had them on mine for 6 years and they still look and work like the day I got them. They are fairly visible, so putting a cheap but effective alternative like rubber balls or duct tape...

    New dash and gauges

Given what I've heard about the state of the water in NJ I'm getting to some projects on my wish list this spring. I'm aiming to get the boat in the water early June. First up was replacing the old rod boxes. I'll post pics later on that project. Last weekend I pulled the dash and am replacing...

Somebody put some clothes on her! She's naked! Looks like a really good price. I wonder what the damage looks like.

Crossing the Atlantic ocean in my V21 !

I'd like to nominate this as best thread of the year. Nice mix of women, boats and fish. And none of it had to do with the initial topic! Good stuff.

    70's V-20 in NJ - $100

It also comes with a nice mosquito pool in the transom! Something just to right about letting her lay on her side like that on the grass. Sad.

Got Motor Problems this may be Why

I just had my fuel tank cleaned and the gas filtered by a professional. He said that the only stuff that he's seen be effective is CRC phase 4. But I agree: If you can get non ethanol gas, pay the premium.
