My hull is a Seabird. It's got the same bottom as a V20, but the hull is cored so the stringers are a little less structural.

It's really simple work, just labor intensive.  It doesn't take any really special skills. Don't be affraid to use that grinder to rough things up where you want the fiberglass to stick. Fiberglassin on top of the bilge paint puts a lot of faith in the bond between the paint and the hull.

Bigger cables to your bus boards and batteries with more cranking amps will fix the problem if cleaning and tightening the connections doesn't.

One of the valves in the pump was coming apart. I can't find a rebuild kit for the pump, either. It is a Carter for anybody interested. Looks like I'll be buying a new one.

You should run to a prop shop and have them tweak the prop some to give you a little extra rpm. 4900 is pretty close to the minimum 4850 and that will of course go down when you load the boat down.

Current marine hoses are rated for alcohol. In fact, I just replaced all of my hose last night. It was 3.09/ft for 3/8ths inch inboard hose. The gray vs. black might be an outboard vs. inboard thing. I used inboard hose, it was black. The gray outboard hose might have better UV resistance.

Does anybody know what brand fuel pump Volvo uses with their 350 Chevies on the older AQ/Penta drives? I want to source a pump diaphram/rebuild kit. My floats keep sticking open due to mysterious chunks of black rubber jamming them up. I've replaced all of the fuel lines and diesected the old...

10,000 to tear up the deck and replace the tank? You should just save the 10g and repower with diesel, if your tanks haven't deteriorated yet.
