Good evening G - I just checked in. Thanks for your tireless but gentle pokes to keep our community alive. I hope you’re having a great weekend.
Speaking of fishing, we just had some delicious salmon from what my fishing buddy caught a couple of days ago alone. It was an epic fight. The fish did some acrobatics and then headed into the weds - long story short, he got it in the boat, arms cramping and exhausted. I’m going out with him Monday to see if we can repeat, without the weeds and with some teamwork.

Thanks G you too. Have a great Labor Day I did go fishing and did not do good at all but to me going out and getting back safe is a great day. I’m going thru my equipment and getting ready for togs. I hope y’all have a safe holiday.

Well, the Columbia surface temperature was 72 degrees, and while there were about 8000 Salmon going up over the dam upstream daily, they were not remotely interested in biting. It’s supposed to do some substantial rain tonight, tomorrow and Thursday, which we hope will cool the water enough to make a difference (and also hopefully kill or reduce the wildfires). We’re tentatively looking at another attempt on Friday, and again hopefully followed by a more interesting report. I’ll try to remember to post this stuff in the Fishing section next time G, sorry I didn’t read you response more carefully.
