I have a question.

See what you started lol.
Just curious how many of us 20.6 Steplift owners would buy another Steplift if yours was damaged beyond repair?
I will start
I would

I had to make that decision -- sort of -- when the Pipe Dream went under (partially) in Hurricane Matthew in 2016. I had stated-value insurance on her so the insurance company wrote me a check and asked if I wanted to keep her. Buy back for a dollar. I said yes and then began the long process of finding someone to make repairs and repower her. In the meantime I began looking at V-20s and 21s for sale and there were a couple that really tempted me. But ultimately my better half and I decided to repair and repower with the insurance money. Too many memories to let her go. Cosmetically she still bears some battle scars from Matthew. And the 22 year old repaint job from the prior 2004 refit is showing its age.

All of that to say that yes, I probably would buy another. I would be very careful to find one that was solid and well cared for. And I would once again get stated value insurance.
