Who is with me on this?

I hate LED lights. I have a chandelier in my entrance with about eight candle type lights It’s a real pain to replace, ace one when it burns out. I put in ZLEDs cause they say they should last ten years. Great. Right? I’m lucky if I get 6 months ou5 of them. One always flickers after about 6 months. They suck. I want the regular old school light bulbs back. When 5hey go they go. And as far as saving on electric? I don’t see any difference. LEDs suck

I like LED’s better now that they’ve developed the colors better and really like them for some automotive stuff, since they draw so little power. I think I paid around $25 for four sealed backup/work light fixtures - I mounted 2 on the trailer hitch frame on my pickup and 2 on the back of my utility/trash trailer, wired to the backup lights, and man is it ever better backing up in the dark now. Same for getting more light out of older house light fixtures without overheating them.

It’s a pain to get out the ladder to check the chandelier bulbs, but is it possible the flickering is due to the bulb loosening up in the socket? I have a table lamp fixture that I have to tighten the LED bulb in often.

Also a fan of LED’s. My house was built in the 50’s, so old wiring. Had a front porch light that would not last more than 6 months. Put a dusk to dawn LED in, they last about 3 years. I do lo-voltage lighting for landscaping. Used to have to figure voltage drop, amp draw, multiple transformers for large jobs, etc. LED made all the difference.

I do miss the old bulbs for the pump house when a freeze is coming

Maybe it’s the bulbs I buy from Walmart ,but I think I would rather have the old bulbs. As you know I hate change ,I guess this is one of them but I did replace my bow light with led and so far it works. And I screwed up this weekend. The weather according to the weather channel didn’t look good so I stayed home. The weather was good and the fluking was great and I was home on my couch. 😞
