I think China’s more likely to go after Taiwan, but that might not be to far from a war with us anyway. You’re sure right about it being dangerous times. I don’t think we want China TOO desperate and that’s looking pretty close to where Xi is right now (assuming he’s still in control).

Not sure what you are comparing gas prices to. I buy diesel 5 days a week. $3.99 today. It was higher than that in November. So far tarrifs have not affected anything that I know of.

Hmmm - That sounds really good! Some fishin’, shootin’ (maybe some wild meat), maybe some chainsaw exhaust or sawdust smell and no technology. Ahhhhhh 😎👍

As most of you know, I'm not a big political guy here, I think 3 posts and it was with Greene,😂 but I did vote for President Trump all three times. I always thought he, was and is the best MAN to be out President. Now, I know everyone was complaining about the price of eggs, for me I couldn't understand and still can't, maybe they were like the benchmark, a friend told me. Since that MENTAL MORON biden was acting President, every thing went up, but eggs seemed to be on the top of the list. When I shop, it's only for me, I shop at ShopRite, here in Staten Island, I buy 1 dozen jumbo eggs and 1 gallon of whole milk, beside what ever I need. When that moron was President, I was paying $6.99 for the milk and $11.49 for the eggs, I don't buy milk and eggs every week. The last time I bought eggs and milk, the eggs were $6.49 and the milk, $5.49, President Trump was our President, yesterday when I went, eggs, $5.49 and the milk was $4.49. Prices will never go back to what they were, the companies like making those extra pennies and so do the stores, plus the cost of making it also goes up. It was like when I was a kid, I bought a Hershey bar for .25, my father told me he bought them for .05, today the same Hershey bar is $1.50. Just my lousy 2 cents. 🇺🇸 ❤️ 🇺🇸 ❤️ 🇺🇸

Trump hasn't been in office for 100 days yet. Give the man a chance. Inflation is dropping and is now at 2.4%. Oil is below $60 a barrel, Eggs are at half of what they were a few months ago. He's closed the border and is building the wall, He's deporting criminals. Yes, the tariff thing is going to hurt a little, but then again, he ran on raising it and making the tariff playing field level and he's doing what he promised. DOGE has found and returned billion$ of dollars with more to come, as well as lots of fraud and corruption that Biondi is looking into. All in all I'm very pleased with 99% of President Trumps actions. I'm a little worried about the tariff war with China, so lets hope and pray it all works out. He's done more in less than 100 days than Biden did in 4 years.
And this website ROCKS. Well done Blue. Well done!

Fuel prices at pump actually a bit higher and maybe oil price dropping due to slowing economic demand.
Concerned that Trump dumps us into recession due to his tariff follies .
Stuff from China……..likely to cost more

The price of eggs spiking was the result of over a million egg laying chickens being killed because the woman in charge of those things in the Biden administration claimed she was fearful of them catching the bird flu even though there was no evidence to suggest that any were sick. A lot of people thought she ordered it just to make the price soar just as President Trump took office to make him look bad. Trump was able to mitigate the prices by arranging the importation of eggs from overseas. It wasn't perfect, but it helped stabilize the price. Eggs are now almost back to where they used to be. There is still a shortage, but people have learned to do without or simply use less which has brought the price in supermarkets down.
Your dad was correct. I remember buying Hershey bars for a nickel. That all changed in 1974. The "gas shortage" of 1973 that sent gas prices soaring had other effects even after is was over. One of them was the sugar industry saw how the Arabs were making more money after the gas shortage, so they decided to do the same thing. It wasn't quite as effective as the gas shortage, but the sugar shortage did increase prices and as a result even though people simply stopped buying sugar and the sugar shortage simply collapsed several industries thought it was a good excuse to increase their prices. The candy industry and the baking industry are two prime examples. Hershey bars went from a nickel to a dime and then from a dime to a quarter in just a few years.

A little known fact. Candy is one of the most profitable items in supermarket stores, typically bringing in 33% profit (or more) on every sale, compared to canned vegies that typically bring in less that 2% profit on each sale. That's one of the main reasons you see whole aisles devoted to just candy, plus end caps on aisles and POS (point of sale) units right at the cash registers. And the really sneaky stores are now putting those candy aisles all the way to the end of the store just before the dairy section so that you have to walk past all that sweet candy just before you get your gal. of milk.

I don’t know ……
Seems Trumps tariffs can only increase costs as so much comes from China.
Factories here would never produce at the low costs they do overseas.
That…..plus other things has his rating around 41 %.
Way below other Presidents at 100 days.

We’re in the breaking eggs to make the omelette stage. With our national debt service now exceeding our national defense budget as only one example of the huge mess we’re in, radical action is needed. The vast majority of people not having the faintest knowledge of negotiation more than explains a low rating, if that number is accurate.

This discussion probably belongs in the political forum.

You may be correct…..we shall see.
I also think we need to hold Trump accountable same as with any Presidents actions.
Tax cuts for the rich while starving the poor and middle class won’t cut it for me
