Putin ignoring President Trump

News reporting Putin just keeps on attacking Ukraine including energy production sites despite agreeing to stop.

And President Trump talking about putting a 25% tariff on Russian oil in response

I will say one thing or two or three. I do like Trump but ( there is always a but ) the tariffs?I think he messed up on that ,why you ask?I was in the trucking industry and when gas was high they charged a fuel surcharge so we made more money and the customer paid for it. Same with tariffs we are going to pay higher prices. What I think would have been better is this. China ,we buy 1000 car parts from you so you have to buy 1000 car parts from us. Got it. What ever we buy from the other country’s. They have to buy the same from USA easy peasy cause I see everything is going up.
I like Trump and Harris was a bad joke. But I think I would have made a different choice. In the end I hope he is right. But I have my doughts ( did I spell that wrong?)

I’m with you on this Step and disappointed .
Trump said he’d bring inflation down fast but his tariffs will increase inflation !!

How is anything going to be less expensive for us when they are paying more to bring it in to the U.S ? Its not. Even gas is go8ng up. What’s up with that. I know president Trump is smarter than me but I think he didn’t think it threw all the way. Let’s hope he is right. But I know In the trucking industry when they pay more for fuel. We pay a surcharge. Do they actually make more money. And the working man or woman gets ( you know what)

I’m not an expert, but while I am concerned, I do trust that he’s an experienced negotiator. It seems as if if he likes to do radical moves that jolt others off balance and create some chaos, then make deals. When I hear media and comments from other leaders, they look to be trying to analyze what he’s doing in the context of “normal” behavior and he’s not limited by needing to conform to normal. I think things have been so badly managed and we’re in such bad shape that there’s going to have to be a fair amount of pain in the short run to get things back on track.

It’s like that saying in the gym.
No pain,,,no gain.
Trumps the GOAT. Do you know what that means!
He is the great negotiator. The art of the deal
Me? I can’t negotiate for #$&@. I pay full price at a yard sale

Step - hope you’re right. Me, I tend to “ believe it when I see it.”
New report is Russia staged new attacks on Ukraine, with Trump calling it an accident.

I hope I’m right too. I hope ( Trump) knows what. He is doing.
Can’t we all just get along, had to quote that from Rodney king. Let’s just all live together and go fishing

GOAT ? I’ll go with Abe Lincoln, Washington, Rosevelt way before Trump but to each their own .

What up with Putin ?
Now increasing attacks on Ukraine and massing new offensive forces.

Trumps now giving Putin 2 weeks to stop …..but then what ?

I hear that Germany, speaking for all of NATO, just released restrictions on how far Ukraine can send the munitions they’re getting. They’ve done such amazing war fighting against the massively larger Russia, this could be a game changer - taking the leash off. I find myself wondering what they could do with a bunch of ground attack A-10’s added to their arsenal.
It is a very sad mess, Putin not the least bit concerned about the young Russian guys he’s sending off to be slaughtered and Ukraineian civilians he’s murdering, homes and infrastructure he’s destroying. I hope Trump has a plan to choke him down and end this.

Iran, Russia, China now reacting as if they believe Trumps bark bigger than bite.

Trump calling Russian and China leaders “hard to deal with” …..
Well yeh, guess Trump thought they’d just kiss his ring ???

He probably didn’t think Putin would be completely insane, or that China would be in such complete chaos, with Xi likely being removed from power and their economy circling the drain. It’s not productive to make judgments about complex, long term dynamics with a very short view.

It’s a little like no battle plan surviving the first shot being fired - things don’t go as anticipated and some executive skill and experience needs to be put to work, adapting as many times as necessary to hopefully get a reasonably good result. We can be very grateful we don’t have the flagrantly incompetent alternative in the White House.

Agreed ….except doesn’t seem China unraveling. The scope of Chinas advances is staggering, progressive, and with long term plan.

That’s what’s most troubling to me about China. They are pretty advanced in parts of their military, seemingly ahead of us. The economic chaos, disruption and possible leadership change driving desperation could make this the time going to war looks pretty good to them. Xi is a despot, but I think some of the generals who might take power are more hawkish and a fair amount more competent to make war. They really want Taiwan.

We outspend China 3x to 1 on military .
China outspends us on infrastructure- roads bridges, trains and more

Look at the prices at Harbor freight and it’s clear why they don’t spend as much. They pay very little for labor and it’s not uncommon for them to not pay workers at all, have much less regulation/safety protocol and for the most part only spend on offensive stuff. They have very little need for defense, and defense has to cover so many things, so it’s a lot more expensive.
