When I did it I separated the splashwell from the inside transom skin. They are "glued" together with resin filler. That was a pain. you could do as you are saying or extend your blue line across to the top of the cutout.. give me a call... 732 773-6690

I know it is best to leave a 3***8221; or so tab to rejoin cut glass but should I cut the splash well from the transom where they meet horizontally, where I have the yellow tape measure? Thx!
