High Dive has left the building

Sadly, after 32 years (29 running), the High Dive has left for a new home. A lifetime of memories on the boat. My daughters grew up on that boat.. Looking to replace with something more (now grandkids :) friendly. Looking at a 2004 V-21 this weekend as it seems a direct upgrade. Like the steps...

What makes ( most ) boaters so friendly ?

How many have seen that boating commercial showing people in everyday situations getting wierd looks when waving at others as they pass by.. and then they show the boaters all waving at each other... My wife and I were laughing about that commercial the other day, how true it is. Most all...

    Another new V20 owner

cgord, you made a great choice, IMHO the V20 is a best in class. I have owned mine for 73 OB cuddy for 24 years now and have never fallen out of love with it. It seems you got the whole pkg. Although I have not been on in a while, this is the best site for all info and things V20, and a reeeelly...

    tailer size

I started out with a single 1st 7 years. when that rotted away, upgraded to a drive on tandem. The farther you plan to tow, the more you will be glad you have a tandem. Handles much better and like Randle, I lost a wheel on my single once, always glad now to have the load distributed over two...

Replacement for 1980ish Evinrude control box

I have yet to check that Skools. But I did get the shift lever handle to come  apart after a dose of PB Blaster and a few (dozen) taps with a hammer. The two pcs, the handle (outside) and the Cam wheel (inside) are joined by a tapered spline and held by the allen head bolt. It wasn't corroded...

    High_Diver Fishing

Boynton Beach is midway between Boca Raton and West Palm Beach in Southeast Florida. One day, after our parents are gone as we help take care of them, I know we are going to move up north (200 miles max :>). That is what I will miss... 200 ft deep water a mile off shore... 400 ft at 3 miles...

Replacement for 1980ish Evinrude control box

This is two questions really... 1) Taking apart the old box (everything in the box which mounts on the inside of the gunwhale, probably can be seen in pic's on the gallery). It is stiff shifting, I have it opened and cleaned except for the shift lever going through the box has the Allen head...

Hi Guys...I'm alive. Sorry I haven't been around for a while, I have many excuses but there really are none... only reasons. Hope all is well with you guys. Anyhow, the weather and the water have been great this summer, and the fishing hasn't been too bad either. Here are a couple of...
