I have had several different brand boats over the years, and honestly, the lines on the V20/21 are still the best. That wide front flare and the sharp entry bow just have no equals. IMHO.+

Sounds like he may also have the engine set too high on the transom. Easy to check, just hold a yardstick flat on the bottom of the boat on the keel and see if the cavitation plate on the engine is above the yardstick.
