    Just passing this along

I've had some kind of wasp like insect build a nest twice now in the same water tank vent on the trawler. The first time it wouldn't vent at all when filling the tank, I ended up disconnecting the vent line from the tank and blowing it out with compressed air. Shot bug guts and larve down...

    Rip brp

It sucks they quit making them, never had any trouble with my 150. The 90 had an alarm which turned out to be a bad gauge right out of the box. Other than that perfect, ran it yesterday. They are efficient and fast engines. Probably the best power to weight ratio of a later model engine...

Trying to figure out what I have.

Looks like a 70s model, the caps weren't glassesd on though from the factory, they screwed them on under the rub rail. From a guy who spent a ton fixing up a V20 there's something to be said for having an old beater. Paint it with a foam roller and wash her with some dawn or bleach.

Filled her up with gas and took her out yesterday evening. Reaffirms my reluctance to sell her. She leaps right on plane and cruises effortlessly at 30 knots/35 mph at 4500 rpms.

If you still have them that would be awesome Phil, thank you! I installed the new fuel tank yesterday, a new Racor filter and bowl, and a pair of 1000 MCA starting batteries. Put gas in the new tank and she lit off on the first turn of the key after sitting for almost a year. Gonna knock the...
