Thumping when accelerating

Taking on some water???
Hello everyone! Thanks for the add! I got an 86 v20 dual console sport fish about a month ago maybe?? I’ve taken it out on the coast of Southern California and I’ve noticed that when we pull the drain plug a ton of water is coming out. Maybe 5 gallons?? I’m not so sure how accurate that...
