I have rot where the piece of threaded steel comes up and attaches the bow cleat. Its about 9" around. I dont know what its called, its the celing of the cuddy. The white liner on top of the inside is molding too. How can I repair this stuff without pulling the whole cap?

I want to set my bow rail lower than it is now on my steplift. Would this be a matter of just trimming down the vertical pieces and reassembling? Anyone tried this?

I have an 86 Mercury BlackMax 150 O/B... I'm wondering if it has some sort of generator or alternator on it for battery recharging? I want to run dual batteries for an audio/video system, but unsure if I should if it doesnt have any sort of recharging capability.

Hey guys, I've been tossing an idea around of building a full swim platform for my boat... But I have an outboard. I wanted to cut around it and have the center hinged so I may flip it up to tilt the motor up for transport or service... any ideas, or thoughts on this?

Has anyone done this? I opened my fuel hatch and found the 1.5" filler neck line has what looks to be surface dryrot. Would that warrant a replacement or is this normal? I have the in floor tank on a 85 steplift.

I have an 85 Steplift and as most are, my floor is a peach color. I'm redoing the seats, gauges, lighting and inside the cuddy... It would just be perfect if I could change the floor color. Is this paintable or not? If so, what can I paint it with that will stick and not lift and flake away.
