I’m actually in the process of converting my cuddy to a cc and am doing it like you are glassing the floor directly to the sides setting on top of the stringers. Looking forward to your progress pics.

Not as familiar with the 2.4s as I am with the 2.5s but if it has a similar ignition system then I would check the wires going to the trigger. The trigger moves every time you move the throttle and sometimes the wires break from all of the back and forth motion. Not sure if it acts up long...

The old reeds looked fine. The blocks looked ok also they were rubber coated but didn't see anything wrong with them. No scuppers since it was a I/o originally. Handles about same as it did when it still had the inboard. I'm very happy with the set up as a whole.
