About

The WellcraftV20 Site was founded in 2003. The original vision for the site was twofold:

First and foremost, to celebrate the legendary WellcraftV20 hull and storied history surrounding how the V20 came to be. Secondly, to serve as a friendly forum where people around the world with common interests can connect, engage in discussions, share information/photos, and exchange ideas relating to all things WellcraftV20, boating, fishing – and more.

Over the last 20+ years, although the site has changed hands a few times, the site endures – along with all of the friendships that have been forged, invaluable information shared, restoration and troubleshooting information – and of course the many laughs and good times shared by friends old and new.

History of Admins and tech gurus who have kept the site going for 20+ years

  • Bigshrimpin – Site Founder/Administrator (2003)
  • valiant_200 – Administrator/Technical Support Guru
  • Macojoe – Administrator/Administrator (early 2000’s – 2017)
  • Yodaddy – Administrator/Technical Support Guru
  • Blue Runner – Administrator (2017 – 2024)
  • Taking over the technical side with Admin support from Blue Runner is Dave. Dave is a veteran of the marine industry having worked with several builders and has since started a software development company. As a former 1974 V20 CC owner he wanted to bring this site back to life and find another V20 of that vintage. If you know of one on the east coast?…..

In Memorium

Joseph A. Gougeon aka “Macojoe”
July 24, 1962 ~ November 11, 2024 (age 62)

In memory of Macojoe. Joe was an avid fisherman, deeply passionate about his boat and an administrator of the WellcraftV20 forum. Macojoe was not only an adminstrator, but a prolific poster on the forum. Under his leadership the forum thrived. He facilitated design and production of the official “Wellcraft V20 T-shirts” and other Wellcraft V20 merchandise. Macojoe’s life was marked by his boisterous spirit and his enduring love for his family and friends. Joe was very gracious in that he loved to help people – whether it be advice or lending a hand. He will be remembered as a man bringing laughter and joy to all who knew him.
